It's a divine plan, for it's precisely what our Father in Heaven has done with us. He's given us the principles, but also the free-agency to choose. My kids are definite proof this is a true principle. Whenever they can understand the "why" they can at least make a choice. Helping kids exercise their autonomy and recognize that they are making choices based on principles is one of the most important things a parent can do. Rusty, You are right on! I always found that if I was following the commandments to the best of my ability, the right words usually came out of my mouth. When I wasn't in tune, the words weren't there.
