You're absolutely right. It's generally the moments when we feel the most secure, the most immune and impervious, that we are the most vulnerable and susceptible. When it comes to our eternal salvation, we must maintain constant vigilance.

It is a HUGE challenge to be "in but not of" the world. Evil is subtle and sneaky and creeps in when we try so hard to keep it out. It takes constant hard work to keep it at bay. No one is immune, and if we let our guard down just a little we are in danger.

There is plenty of counsel and advice on how to keep ourselves safe. Study the scriptures, pray, attend church meetings, listen to our leaders, study and pray some more, follow all of the Lord's commandments . If you ever think you are safe-watch out! That's when you start having doubts and negative thoughts. Always be humble and try to find out what the Lord wants you to do. Listen to that still, small voice-the Spirit. Do all the good you can to build and lift others.

Now, if I could just follow that advice.....
